In preparation for the Year of the Eucharist, we learn to respond to Jesus’ invitation to encounter him—both through our relationships and our celebration of the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. By learning how to encounter Christ, we can prepare ourselves to be transformed by God’s presence.
Heavenly Father,
Rekindle our love for Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist, and let our joy draw others to the Lord's Supper.
May all that we do be nourished by the Eucharist: make us holy and lifelong disciples.
Send us forth to evangelize, sacrifice, and serve with a renewed spirit of self-giving love.
Amen.
Thank you to the more than 200 families who cast a vote for our parish theme! Based on your feedback, as well as the recent National Eucharistic Revival called for by the U.S. Bishops, we are excited to present our roadmap for the next two years of educational and evangelization efforts of our parish. We hope we can grow TOGETHER toward a common love of the Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith.
2022-2023: Year of Encounter
In preparation for the Year of the Eucharist, we learn to respond to Jesus’ invitation to encounter him—both through our relationships and our celebration of the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. By learning how to encounter Christ, we can prepare ourselves to be transformed by God’s presence.
2023-2024: Year of the Eucharist
The U.S. Bishops have called for a revival of Eucharistic devotion in our diocese and parishes. The parish Year of the Eucharist will help us grow in our love for Christ in the Eucharist, help us draw others back to Mass, and nourish a parish-wide Eucharistic culture.
2022-2024: National Eucharistic Revival
The Eucharistic Revival begins at the diocesan level on the Feast of Corpus Christi (June 19, 2022) with a Eucharistic Procession and Festival in Warsaw, IN. The bishops have asked parishes to begin their revival years in June 2023, culminating with the National Eucharistic Congress in July 2024 in Indianapolis, IN.
