Saint Pius X partners with WCC in many ways, providing support and resources to help women and men choose life.
Women's Care Center helps pregnant young women have the opportunity to choose life for their babies…have healthy babies, become better parents and take first steps to self-sufficiency.
Founded by a young professor from the University of Notre Dame, Women’s Care Center has grown to become the nation’s largest pregnancy resource center serving over 100,000 women since inception. WCC has 32 locations in 11 states. To quantify the good work done at WCC:
Nationwide in a year
30,000 women are served in over 100,000 visits
over 600,000 diapers are distributed
11,077 babies were born to moms utilizing WCC counselors in 2019 (that's enough children to fill 738 kindergartens in 2024!)
In St. Joseph County in a year
over 4,000 women served in more than 19,000 visits
over 100,000 diapers distributed
1,448 babies were born to moms utilizing WCC counselors in 2019 (enough children to fill 96 kindergarten classrooms in THIS community in 2024!)
Volunteers are needed at the Women’s Care Center to help with office work, bulk mailings, babysit during 1-hour parenting classes, restocking the Crib Club store, or being a cashier for the store. The current newsletter can be found at the link to the left. Please contact Kitty Fulnecky or Linda Osborn for further information on becoming a part of this worthy organization.
***A donation bin is located in the Parish Life Center throughout the year for anytime a parishioner wishes to share something with the babies and toddlers. A list of needed items can be found here. Thank you to the volunteers who weekly deliver donations to Women's Care Center.***
