The Sunday Evening Choir supports and enriches the Assembly in song primarily at the 5:30 p.m. Sunday Mass and other special liturgical celebrations
How the Ministry Works:
Each Wednesday and Sunday, members report to the Liturgy and Music office to pick up a black folder and choir editions of the Worship and Gather Hymnals. They then report to the music area of the Church for rehearsal or warm-up.
Expectations:
Sunday Evening Choir members are grade 7 & 8 students, high school students and adults who are available to sing at the 5:30 p.m. Sunday Mass (warm-up at 4:30 p.m.) from September through the date of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (changes each year).
Each member commits to one rehearsal a week on Wednesday from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. Occasionally, rehearsals may be rescheduled to another day due to holidays.
When a member is absent, it is the duty of each member to inform the Director of Liturgy and Music and sign-out on a calendar in the Liturgy and Music Office.
