“For humans this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
As a gift from God, every human life is sacred from conception to natural death. Saint Pius X Catholic Church is committed to praying for the sanctity of life. Prayer is the foundation from which we live out our faith. By our loving actions, we hope to build a Culture of Life beginning with respect for the unborn. Our parish partners with various organizations to strengthen pro-life efforts. Such ministries include: St. Joseph County Right to Life; Spiritual Adoption; 40 Days for Life, South Bend; Pro-Life Prayer Ministry at the Divine Mercy Chapel of the Apostolate of Divine Mercy - In Service to Human Life, and March for Life in Washington, D.C.
It has been more than 40 years since the US Supreme Court legalized abortions on January 22, 1973. Since then well over 50 million abortions have been performed forever changing the lives of women and men. The Catholic Church welcomes with open arms those hurting from the effects of a past abortion through the Project Rachel program. Our parish further reaches out in love and friendship through a confidential parish e-mail address. There is mercy, healing, and hope; please contact us.

“It is not an accumulation of biological material, but rather of a new living being, dynamic and marvelously ordered, a new individual of the human species. This is what Jesus was in Mary’s womb, this is what we all were in our mother’s womb. We may say with Tertullian, an ancient Christian writer: ‘the one who will be a man is one already’ (Apologeticum IX, 8), there is no reason not to consider him a person from conception.”
