Members of the Parish Council gain a unique insight into the workings of the parish and the responsibilities of the Pastor. Parish Council is an excellent way to meet other parishioners and to feel more connected to parish life.
How the Ministry Works:
Two hour meetings are held monthly, August through June, on the last Wednesday of the month, to discuss any issues or proposals recommended by the Pastor or the Council president.
The Council is composed of 15 members, each serving on a rotating, 3 year term.
Appointed members come from a variety of personal (married, single, young, old) and professional backgrounds, each bringing his or her own strengths to the Council.
Each year, the Council replaces five of its members by means of a nomination and application process. Selection of new members is by appointment by the Pastor and the recommendations of the outgoing members.
