The New Parishioner Welcome Team is responsible for planning and implementing a processes to welcome new parishioners.
How the Ministry Works:
There are multiple ways in which parishioners can participate in the New Parishioner Welcome Ministry.
Volunteers can register new parishioners on the designated registration weekends or by appointment.
Mentor families can serve as a connector for the new families to the great parish community.
Hosts can help with the New Parishioner Gathering held three times a year (January, May, September).
Expectations:
Registrars will be scheduled to register new parishioners after Mass(es) on designated weekends. They should also be available for registration appointments after parish office hours.
Mentor families will be assigned 2-4 new families a year to guide them through the ins and outs of Saint Pius X. An initial phone call and attendance at the New Parishioner Gatherings is required. Additional contact is determined by the relationship and needs of the new family.
Gathering Hosts help set up, serve food, and clean up at the three gatherings held each year.
