Hospitality Ministers exhibit a warm welcome that reflects the love of God to all worshippers helping them to enter more easily and more fully into the Eucharistic celebration.
How the Ministry Works:
Volunteers wishing to become Hospitality Ministers must attend an initial ninety-minute training session.
They then submit Mass preference information and dates of unavailability for each schedule period as requested by the Liturgy and Music office.
On average, Hospitality Ministers are scheduled two or more times per month, depending on Mass preference and number of others available for the same Mass(es).
During the Liturgy, they greet and seat parishioners, assist the physically disabled, gather the collection, assist with the Procession of the Gifts, assist with the Communion Procession, distribute worship aids, bulletins and other items need for full participation in the Holy Mass.
After Mass...
ministers clean up their assigned sections and prepare them for the next Mass.
one assigned Hospitality Minister is available to register new parishioners.
Expectations:
This ministry is open to individuals, couples, high school students, and families.
Ministers should arrive to Mass 25 - 30 minutes before Mass begins and stay after Mass to complete clean up and other assigned responsibilities.
