Are you in need of a spiritual boost? Join fellow parishioners each winter for our Parish Book Program!
Each year, every family who attends Mass at Saint Pius on Christmas will receive a complimentary copy of a great Catholic book. We strive to select a title that meets people where they are and invites our parish community to grow toward where God is calling us to be, especially in light of our annual faith formation theme. Beginning each January, small groups form to read and discuss the book together.

The 99 Handbook, by Mark Hart with Joel Stepanek
Most of us are familiar with Jesus' parable of the lost sheep, the one for whom the shepherd leaves the flock of ninety-nine in the wilderness. While we may have heard this story many times, we may not have ever considered our role in it. We may never have asked: Am I part of the "ninety-nine," or am I the "one" who has gone astray?
The 99 Handbook is an invitation to examine your life of faith, beginning with where you are right now. Drawing on more than twenty years of ministry experience, author Mark Hart invites us to face the issues that are necessary for living a fulfilling life within the flock of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. With doses of humor and an easy-to-read style, The 99 Handbook makes the case that a life of faith - a personal relationship with Jesus - is necessary, reasonable, and rewarding. It also shows that evangelization is an essential calling of every Christian.
Extra copies of The 99 Handbook, along with the Participant Guide, are available outside the parish office. Please stop by to pick up a copy for yourself or to share with friends!
