Scripture is at the heart of our Catholic faith, for "in Sacred Scripture, the Church constantly finds her nourishment and her strength" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 104). Sometimes reading the Bible can be daunting—so why not study Scripture with friends? Saint Pius offers regular opportunities for parishioners to read, pray and learn together as we deepen our love for God's Word in Scripture.

Session 3: How to Read the Bible as a Catholic
What about all those awkward parts of Scripture? The Bible can seem confusing, contradictory and even scandalous. This week we'll learn the basic principles that guide a Catholic approach to Scripture, especially the messy bits!
Weekly at 9:45 a.m. Thursdays following daily Mass in the church basement meeting room
Join Fr. Bill Schooler and Sally Flask as they walk through the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday, providing context and interpretation of the biblical passages. This is a great way to prepare to hear the Word at Mass with a more open mind and heart! There is no homework or registration required. Please drop in anytime.
