The Art & Environment Ministry assists in celebrating the liturgical events by decorating the church according to the liturgical calendar events and colors. It helps the parishioners to be aware of the events and educates in the different colors associated with the events throughout the year.
Celebrating the Liturgical calendar through decorating the church gives a person an understanding of Catholic events throughout the year and helps other parishioners recognize that we celebrate as a family-together in our Catholic faith.
How the Ministry Works:
The A & E ministry sets up and takes down decorations in the church for: Harvest, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Palm Sunday, Easter, and Pentecost.
Live plants and flowers are watered during the Christmas and Easter Seasons.
Expectations:
Attendance at all events is appreciated, yet not required.
Participation at Christmas and Easter is required.
Members are also asked to help with watering duties during the Christmas and Easter Seasons. Based on the size of the ministry, typically participants need to come once each season for 1-2 hours to water and clean up plants.
